Dear editor:
The “new space” has taken over the long-term care home. There was an old persons’ home on Byron that was closed.
What its present use is I do not know.
Two buildings for old persons’ care have been lost — are the old people being driven out of NOTL?
Maybe this latest casting-off should make us reconsider the use of the old hospital?
It has been considered for a creativity centre — now we have one with Shaw, and we have another at the Pumphouse.
It is proposed as a community centre — we have a very active one already.
Maybe we should go back to considering an old persons’ residence?
It seems the very best choice.
