Dear editor:

We were appalled with the design of the townhouse project proposed for 355 Mary St., ("Townhouse project proposed for Mary Street," The Lake Report, May  19).

Why in the world should our charming village get designs which are based on homes in Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard?

We have our own historical and distinct beautiful Niagara style.

Please, let's stick to our design and not start diluting it even more than it has been already.
