I want to offer my sincere thanks to Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake staff.

The security guard in front of Balls Beach received pamphlets from the Town of NOTL to hand out when visitors arrive at the beach with questions and concerns.

This has gone a long way to enable these security people to do their jobs and deflect rumours and innuendo.

Access to the waterfront in this area has been closed because the large rock groyne barrier has fallen into the lake.

The response from visitors is impressive. You can see people are asking questions and feeling confident that there is nothing inexplicable going on and that they are welcome to enjoy the beach away from the fences.

The security personnel are rotated every few days and a simple pamphlet provides so much more continuity when communication is critical.
