It is difficult to understand how anyone can look so unkindly on the suffering and chronic disabilities, for example hyeracusis (acoustic shock disorder), caused by bird bangers.
To quote the author of the letter to the editor, “A different perspective on bird cannons,” (The Lake Report, April 15), “I could go on about how precious someone sounds when describing the 'torture' inflicted upon residents who have to listen to them.”
This attempt to be cute and clever with mocking diatribe is both cruel and clumsy.
Reaching as far back as the War of 1812 to invoke one's hyper-loyalty and love for Niagara, past, present and future is laughable. And talk about precious! Enough to make you roll your eyes.
