Dear editor:

Canadians ought to be ashamed that Ralph Dangelmaier, an 83-year-old American from Florida (who is here with his wife, a Canadian, while she is being treated for cancer), was recently denied a COVID-19 vaccine appointment while here in Canada.

My wife and I were vaccinated while at our winter home in California in January. No questions asked!

Americans are very generous and, for this, we’re very thankful.
