Dear editor:
Hospital staff know when they are dealing with sick people and take all the precautions they possibly can.
Grocery store staff are dealing with the (as yet) invisible carriers and they risk becoming carriers, or infected, as well.
Therefore, I would like to advise your readers to please consider staying out of the grocery store. Just order and pay online, pickup or have it delivered
I think grocery stores should not allow the public in any more in order to protect their staff. Set up the store warehouse-style. Never mind emptying boxes. Just cut them open. Let staff pick and prepare orders. Keep the public and the germs away.
People are not vigilante enough about staying home if they might be a carrier.
However, if you feel you must go, for heaven's sake, go alone to help keep down the traffic in the store. Don't take your spouse or your child.
And, if you really have to go, then get groceries for your neighbour or grandma while you're at it. Keep the traffic in the store low. Less exposure for public and staff is better.
