A drug trafficking investigation instigated by members of the Niagara Regional Police Service Morality Unit earlier this year has paid off.
On Oct. 25, a man and a woman were arrested in a parking lot in Niagara Falls. A residence in the city was subsequently searched, where police found 223 grams of cocaine (valued at $22,000), 530 tablets of Xanax (valued at $1,000), trafficking-related paraphernalia, $16,165 in cash, as well as a cut-down, modified Ruger 10-22 rifle and ammunition.
Two Falls residents, Brandon Fitzgerald, 23, and Jordan Judge, 20, are facing a number of alleged drug and firearm possession charges.
Judge has been released on a promise to appear in court and Fitzgerald is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
