Dear editor:

I am one of many residents that was devastated by the floods in our town and a lot of our farmers and residents are still waiting for financial help to get our basements, crops and businesses back to some kind of normalcy.

Why are we still waiting on an update from our town? Why did we not have a public meeting about what the town is doing and saying to the Ontario government?

It seems to me anyways that we are being ignored, and yes, maybe at some point the financial help will come, but it will not go to farmers or residents — it will go to the town coffers to cover their cost.

Let’s get Niagara-on-the-Lake and its elected officials get us the answers we need and push the Ontario government to help. We need answers and financial help sooner rather then later.
