Dear editor:
A couple of weeks ago, I was looking for a gift for a newborn. A friend told me that I should check out Hatley’s.
Unfortunately, I use a wheelchair and was not sure if I could get in.
Luckily when we arrived at the store, there was a sign that said a ramp would be provided if needed. The sales lady brought the ramp to the side door and I was able to go in and shop.
There are many great stores and restaurants at Niagara-on-the-Lake that I would like to patronize.
Hopefully, more businesses will put out ramps or find other solutions to make it easier and possible for disabled people.
