Familiar names topped the leaderboard at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Club’s junior championships on Sunday.

Sam Walker was crowned junior boys champ and Keira Dexter took the junior girls title, both for the third consecutive time.

And Gavin Tomczuk was named bantam boys champion for the second time.

This Saturday and Sunday, the club hosts its annual championships for men and women.

“It was a stellar performance again from Sam Walker, to capture his third in a row,” said club pro Keith Vant.

“He held a one-stroke lead heading into 18 over three other players. Staying calm he was able to make par to secure the victory as the rest made bogey.”

Walker shot 85 from the white-black tee decks and his competitors all had great rounds with a few ties for second at 87.

Dexter shot a solid 56 over nine holes and Tomczuk secured back-to-back championships by shooting 92 from the white tee decks.
