A sizable crowd turned out as usual on New Year’s Eve to ring in the new year at midnight at the clock tower on Queen Street, then promptly head home. Linda Anderson-Kozik, with furry friend Teddy tagging along, made the trek to Old Town again this year in time for the clock striking 12. And the next day, the ever-dapper Glenn Young was among those who hit the links at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Golf Club. And he did it sockless. Three holes at the course were open on Jan. 1 for anyone who wanted to venture out onto the snow-less fairways. Opening day at the club is only about three months away.
