Dear editor:
I object to the cancellation of names such as Egerton Ryerson and Sir John A. MacDonald. I must also object to the cancellation of Wayne Gretzky as well.
There are many opinions that I at times find offensive, but in a free country, people are allowed to hold those opinions. As we reminded our troops at times “We don’t agree with someone’s opinion, but we will give our lives to allow them to express it.”
I think our leaders should stop encouraging people to set their hair on fire and double down on determining the real issues and addressing them.
