Silversmith Brewing’s cozy atmosphere was filled with creativity on Sunday afternoon as participants crafted personalized holiday ornaments using dried flowers.
The Floral Festivities: Ornaments & Ales workshop, hosted by Pressed in Time, gave attendees the chance to blend artistic flair with festive cheer from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
“We’re just using some dried flowers we had on hand, rather than throwing them out and having them go to waste,” said Ivy Ross, who was running the session.
Participants designed three glass ornaments filled with colourful, mulched flowers, learning about colour theory to help them create stunning pieces, she said.
Silversmith collaborated with Pressed in Time to provide the venue and a drink included with each ticket.
The workshop, at $55 per ticket, sold out, though two participants had to cancel.
“We have a group of 18 here today, 18 beautiful women,” said Ross.
