Niagara College is hosting a one-stop shop for job seekers when it presents its annual career fair Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 5 and 6 at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Hosted by Niagara’s Career and Co-op Services department and Community Employment Services, the career fair is open to students, alumni and community members. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet with a wide variety of employers from the Niagara region and beyond. Registration is not required.

In total, representatives from 117 organizations looking to recruit for full-time, part-time, graduate, contract, seasonal and co-op positions will be on site for the event.

“We have received a tremendous response from employers from a variety of sectors, all of which align with the programs of study which we offer our students at Niagara College,” said Dina Fox, director of academic advising and career services for the NOTL campus.

“We are confident there are exciting opportunities for students to explore and pursue, no matter which stage they are at in their academic journey.”

Fox added that potential employers are also posting job opportunities via the college’s MyCareer portal

For a list of participating employers, the positions they are hiring for and the dates and campus locations they will be attending, visit careerfair.niagaracollege.ca/employerlist/.

“(The) career fair is a chance for employers to recruit for talent from a pool of candidates that, along with NC students and graduates, includes community members who are searching for work,” said Gary Bruce, manager of community employment services.

“Job seekers are encouraged to attend the event to network with potential employers, explore the opportunities available to them and learn about the current job market in Niagara.”

The college will hold an additional career fair at the Welland campus on Feb. 7 and 8.
