Library to reopen on Feb. 1

The Niagara-on-the-Lake Public Library is aiming to reopen for in-person services on Feb. 1.

The provincial government is going to begin easing COVID-19 restrictions on Jan. 31 and the library isn't wasting any time in waiting to opening its doors for NOTL residents once again.

“For those exercising greater caution, staff will continue to offer curbside pickup appointments,” said a news release from the library.

“Virtual programming continues through February with a return to in-person events in time for March Break.”

The library will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Tuesday to Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays. It will be closed Saturday through Monday, chief librarian Cathy Simpson said in an email to The Lake Report.

Saturday openings are expected to resume on March 5.
