A 75-year-old man was killed Sunday after losing control of his 2011 Chevrolet pickup truck and striking a tree in Niagara Falls.

Police say the collision occured around 2:30 p.m. on Cherrygrove Rd. near Dorchester Rd.

Residents in the area called 911 and rendered assistance to the man before he was transported to hospital and later pronounced dead.

The collision remains under police investigation.
