Police are investigating a hit-and-run that left a man dead on the side of Lakeshore Road in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Officers were called to the area, near NcNab Road at about 7:18 a.m. Monday and discovered a deceased adult male on the side of the road, according to a police update.

“Further investigation revealed that the male was struck by a vehicle.”

Lakeshore Road, between McNab Road and Stewart Road, is closed for the investigation.
