Oktoberfest will turn Niagara Falls into ‘Little Deutschland’

If you’ve got a taste for Deutschland brew and lederhosen, Niagara Falls Oktoberfest is the place to be Oct. 13 to 14 at the Scotiabank Convention Centre.

The 19+ event will feature ‘brauen’ from nine different breweries, headlined by two local breweries – Konzelmann Estate Winery and the Niagara Brewing Company.

Each 17oz. draft will be sold for one token, or $7. You can also purchase a 32oz. for two tokens and fresh baked pretzels will be available for purchase as well.

Making a guest appearance at the event is Kevin Brauch of The Thirsty Traveller, a TV series in which Brauch travels the world looking for the best tasting beers.

There will also be performance throughout the weekend, with polka duo, The Happy Wanderers, taking the stage.

More performances are to be announced closer to the event.

Admission ranges from $10 to $25, with the more costly packages offering merchandise, a commemorative stein and two-day access. Tickets are available at the Niagara Falls Oktoberfest website and at the door.

The event will run Friday (Oct. 13) from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday (Oct. 14) from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Parking is available on site for $5.
