Fire ban lifted in NIagara-on-the-Lake

The fire ban has been lifted in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

“Due to improved conditions, the open-air burning ban … has been lifted,” said the Town of NOTL in a news release Friday.

“Controlled open-air burning for agricultural purposes may now proceed in accordance with the guidelines.”

However recreational fires are not permitted in Niagara-on-the-Lake, the town adds.

As well, “The lifting of the open air burning ban has no impact on the current prohibition of fires, tents and barbecues in public parks and on beaches in Niagara-on-the-Lake.”
