NOTL’s new Lakeview Vineyard Equipment sponsored ice resurfacer is ready for action

Niagara-on-the-Lake’s new Olympia ice resurfacer has a sweet new look and is ready to start smoothing things out for the hockey season, thanks to Lakeview Vineyard Equipment Inc.

Lakeview's owners Joe Pillitteri and Jesse Willms will be contributing $2,500 per year over the next ten years, $25,000 in total, to support the operation of the new machine at Centennial Arena in Virgil. The artwork on the machine, which has “Lakeview Vineyard Equipment” labelled on it, cost about $2,000.

Pillitteri said both him and Willms grew up in NOTL playing hockey, and all of their children have played sports or have skated at the arena.

“A lot of our customers have children and grandchildren that are in hockey or figure skating,” Pillitteri told The Lake Report. “So for us, it was an honour to be part of it.”
