Police are asking businesses in the area of Taylor Rd. in Niagara-on-the-Lake to check their surveillance footage after an Audi SUV struck a culvert, became airborne and landed in the parking lot of White Oaks Resort and Spa.

The vehicle, driven by a lone 20-year-old Hamilton man, struck several parked vehicles when it landed, police say.

The driver was transported to an out-of-region trauma centre where he continues to be treated for life-threatening injuries.
