The town of Lincoln is holding its Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Saturday.

Residents can go to the Flemming Centre, at 5020 Serena Dr. in Beamsville for a Christmas market, to watch the town light up the tree and for a free public skate with Santa Claus.

The market will be open from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with face painting and activities for the kids, at 5:15 p.m. the lighting ceremony will be held, followed by the public skate with Santa from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m..

Donations are welcome, non-perishable food items will be collected for Community Care of West Niagara and pet items will be collected for the Welland & District Humane Society.

A donation enters you into a draw that could give you the chance to light the tree.
