Garden City Comedy Festival returns Thursday

The Garden City Comedy Festival is set to bring laughs downtown this Thursday to Saturday when the second-annual event returns to Showtime Comedy and the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.

The series of nightly shows, in support of Pathstone Mental Health, will see an expanded line-up of comedians, including a performance by the winner of Niagara's Top Comic Taylor Grant.

Thursday's show — at Showtime Comedy — will feature headliner Tony Vendetti as well as performances by fesival founder David Green and local comedians Jeffrey Stroop and Alex Kazam.

Niagara-on-the-Lake comedian Joe Pillitteri will host Friday night's show — headlined by The Doo Wops — also at Showtime, with additional performances by Patrick Alexander (2017 winner of Niagara's Top Comic) and Michelle Zhitomirsky.

The main show is Saturday at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre, hosted by Marc Sinodinos and featuring Chantel Marostica, Chris Robinson, and headliner Sean Cullen. Taylor Grant will perform before Cullen.

Tickets are $15 Thursday, $20 Friday and $30 Saturday.

Shows start at 8 p.m., and an after-show party is planned for Saturday at Showtime Comedy.
