Niagara Falls Santa Claus Parade returns Saturday

Niagara Falls will be presenting its 2018 Santa Claus Parade this Saturday.

The festivities will begin at 11 a.m. in downtown Niagara Falls, featuring 11 different marching bands, including the Niagara Regional Police Pipe Band.

Local high schools, colourful floats, stilt walkers and Mr. and Mrs. Claus will also be joining in on the parade.

During the parade there will be free coffee, hot chocolate and face painting. Canada Post will also be collecting letters to Santa throughout the duration of the event.

After the parade is over, Mr. and Mrs. Claus will meet children in front of city hall for photo opportunities, questions and to give the kids a chance to share their wish lists with Santa himself.

The event will take place in rain, snow or shine and will start on Victoria Avenue at Armory Street and end at Niagara Falls city hall.

A map of the complete parade route is available on the city’s website www.niagarafalls.ca/santa.
