Niagara College job fair returns to NOTL, including Konzelmann, Vintage Hotels and more
Niagara College will be hosting its job fair in NOTL and Welland in February. It will be held in NOTL from Feb, 4 to 6. SUBMITTED

Niagara College’s career fair is back and expanded to six days this year.

The fair is open to Niagara College students and alumni. It will run Feb. 4 to 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Daniel J. Peterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake. A second fair will take place Feb. 9 to 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Welland campus.

“The Career Fair is a great opportunity for students and alumni to meet directly with potential employers, learn more about their industries, and explore a variety of career pathways,” said Emily Caldwell, career consultant with Niagara College, in a press release.

More than 100 employers from a range of industries will attend, recruiting for full-time, part-time, seasonal and co-op positions. Employers attending the Niagara-on-the-Lake campus on some or all days include Konzlemann Estate Winery, COWS and Vintage Hotels.

“I find that’s the place where we get the most appropriate demographics,” said Sherry McIntyre, manager at COWS.

“One time I hired through the co-op program and that was really awesome because the kids gained like real-world experience for the programs they were taking in school.”

McIntyre said students in programs such as business management can gain useful experience by working at COWS.

The college says no registration is required. It recommends students update their resumes and ensure they are error-free. The college also offers workshops ahead of the fair to help students prepare.
