The WORKS is making Reese stuffed burgers, topped with Reese

How do you know when you’ve gone too far with a recipe? The answer is when you’ve taken a Reese peanut butter cup stuffed with Reese’s Pieces, stuffed that into the middle of a burger, and then stuffed the whole mess between two buns. That’s when.

But at The Works Gourmet Burger Bistro (which has locations in Niagara Falls and St. Catharines) there’s no such thing as too far, because that’s exactly what they’ve done, and then topped it with bacon, onion rings and more Reese cups.

Yes, you read that right.

The restaurants are now selling what they call a Double Stuff’d Reese PBC, “stuff’d with BOTH Peanut Butter Cups & Reese’s Pieces.”

Sure, send one over so I can indulge in my final meal before dying on the floor from instantly-clogged arteries.

Niagara Now had to figure out what is up with this burger, so on Sunday we got one. About three bites got eaten. The fries were fantastic though.

After giving it a second thought, we probably should have known. I mean, it doesn’t really sound that good, does it? At least when KFC used fried chicken as buns it sounded like the flavours would mix, but a sweet chocolately peanut butter burger? I’ll just take the bacon please.

The Works has been offering the burgers since Oct. 16, along with three other “stuff’d” burgers, which don’t sound nearly as gross, though are just as likely to stop your heart on the spot. They cost a whopping $17.62 plus tax.
