From hearty breakfasts to Halloween laughs and a day of reflection at Ravine Vineyard, Niagara-on-the-Lake is packed with ways to spend the weekend ahead.

Saturday, Oct. 25

St. Davids buffet breakfast

8 to 10 a.m., St. Davids Firehall, Station 2

The St. Davids Firehall will host its monthly buffet breakfast Saturday. Admission is $12 for adults and $6 for children.

Maja Bannerman and Rusty McCarthy perform at the Legion

Show starts 7 p.m., doors open 6:30 p.m., Royal Canadian Legion Branch 124, 410 King St.

The Niagara-on-the-Lake Legion will host an evening of history, theatre and dancing, featuring performer Maja Bannerman and musician Rusty McCarthy.

The show moves from wartime sing-alongs to Bannerman’s one-woman “Anne of Green Gables” performance, “This is Anne, Older & Wiser,” and ends with Rusty & Maja’s Kitchen Party Cabaret.

Tickets are $20 and available at the Legion bar or by e-transfer to legion124@gmail.com. Proceeds support Branch 124.

Sunday, Oct. 26

Second annual Good Grief Gala at Ravine

11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery, 1366 York Rd.

The Good Grief Gala returns to Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery for a day of connection, reflection and healing.

The grief-centred event includes a plated lunch, mimosas, gift bags, entertainment and guest speakers, with keynote Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe and emcee Chris Paul Rainbows.

Tickets can be purchased at 3common.com/goodgriefgala. Proceeds support therapy access for women who lack the means to seek help.

Not-So-Spooky Halloween Celebration at Ironwood Ciderhouse

3 to 6 p.m., Ironwood Ciderhouse, 1425 Lakeshore Rd.

Ironwood Ciderhouse will host a family-friendly Halloween event featuring live shows, costumed characters, a glow-in-the-dark meet-and-greet, a kids’ “boo-tique” and a live DJ.

Tickets are $22.63 for adults and $49.26 for children and include a kid’s craft kit, photo booth, snacks and a mocktail, with extra food, licensed drinks, tarot readings and more available for purchase on site.

They can be purchased online by going to eventbrite.com and searching for “Not So Spooky Halloween Celebration.”

One thing’s certain — there’s no shortage of ways to come together in NOTL this weekend.
