Tickets, please! Did Virgil speed camera catch you?
This camera in Virgil is used to automatically ticket speedy drivers. EVAN LOREE

Did you get a surprise in the mail, a ticket for speeding through the school zone outside Crossroads Public School in Virgil?

The automated speed camera has been operating for about two months now but Niagara Region, which installed it, hasn’t been too forthcoming yet about how much over the limit you need to be going in order to get dinged.

So, if you received a ticket and want to talk about it, let us know. We’re not concerned about naming speeders but rather finding out how the program has been working. And how much people have been fined.

Email editor@niagaranow.com and include a snapshot of your ticket and tell us your story, briefly. And no, we won’t publish your name – unless you ask us to.

In April, the Virgil camera is scheduled to move to York Road near St. Davids Public School.
