Competition in the inaugural NOTL Classic pickleball tournament began early Saturday morning at the town arena complex in Virgil.

The massive new tourney, which has attracted almost 300 participants, kicked off Friday evening with a series of professional exhibition matches.
A large crowd of fans and players packed the stands at the Meridian arena to watch the pros in doubles action.
There is a dinner and dance Saturday night at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Centre.
Competition ends Sunday with the final medal matches.
