All parties are recovering after a three-vehicle crash on Lakeshore Road at the entrance of Niagara Shores Park on Tuesday morning.
The crash took place at about 6:45 a.m., said photographer Samuel Miele, who was shooting a commercial nearby when he heard “an extremely loud bang.”
Police said a vehicle heading east on Lakeshore Road was stopped waiting to turn left into Niagara Shores Park when it was struck from behind.
“The impact caused the stopped vehicle to enter the westbound lane on Lakeshore Road, where another collision took place involving a westbound vehicle,” police said in an email response to questions from The Lake Report.
All three drivers were taken to a local hospital by Niagara paramedics.
They have all been released and “continue to recover from their injuries at home,” said police Cst. Barry Ravenek.
No charges have been laid at this time.
Ravenek said the cause of the crash “remains under investigation.”
