Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in NOTL crash

An 18-year-old man from Niagara-on-the-Lake suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening at the intersection of Four Mile Creek Road and Line 6 Road.

Emergency crews responded to the collision around 7:22 p.m. on May 29, according to Niagara Regional Police.

The crash involved a 2016 Suzuki off-road motorcycle and a 2017 Ford Escape SUV. Police said the driver of the motorcycle was transported to an out-of-region hospital with critical injuries.

The driver of the SUV, a 20-year-old woman from St. Catharines, was not hurt.

Four Mile Creek Road was closed for several hours while members of the Niagara Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit investigated. The road reopened at about 2:30 a.m.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
