Last week the Niagara Regional Police started investigating several incidents of breaking-and-entering into retirement homes and long-term care facilities in Niagara Falls.
On Friday, 54-year-old Russell John White of Niagara Falls was arrested and charged with six counts of breaking and entering, two counts of possession of break-in instruments, and one count of theft under $5,000.
Police wish to remind residents living in retirement homes and long-term care facilities to keep their units locked and secure at all times to prevent similar occurences.
