Employees from the IKEA St. Catharines Pick Up and Order Point along with city officials and representatives from Tree Canada will plant trees, including a variety of hickory species, at Burgoyne Woods Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The event will also see a ceremonial tree planting of a White Oak at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Mayor Walter Sendzik will lead the ceremonial planting, said a city media release.
