$24K worth of cocaine seized in Port Colborne

Niagara Regional Police seized a vehicle and more than $24,000 worth of cocaine in Port Colborne Saturday following the arrest of a 61-year-old man.

Police said the investigation saw help from the RCMP and led to the search of the suspect's home, vehicle and place of work, where officers also found cash and a small quantity of cannabis.

Gary Dutcher of Port Colborne was charged with the alleged offences of: possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking; possession of cannabis; and possession of more than $5,000 which police believe to have been acquired through the sale of stolen property.

Dutcher was held in police custody and scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Sunday.
