Santa Around the Town has been delayed 24 hours until Sunday, Dec. 12 due to inclement weather, town spokesperson Lauren Kruitbosch said in an email to The Lake Report late Friday afternoon.

The drive-by alternative to the traditional Santa Claus parade was set to take place on Saturday, Dec. 11, but weather forecasts predict a day full of rain and temperatures as high at 14C.

The event will now commence at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday and follow the same route as originally planned, Kruitbosch said.
