New smaller clinic to open at St. Catharines hospital on Aug. 17
Niagara Health will permanently close its mass COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Seymour-Hannah arena on Aug. 15.
A new, smaller vaccination clinic will open Aug. 17 in the Mental Health Outpatient Clinic at Niagara Health's St. Catharines Site at 1200 Fourth Ave.
The smaller clinic will operate from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week, and will offer both walk-in and booked appointments. The clinic will serve approximately 200 patients per day and will administer the Pfizer vaccine.
In addition, the St. Catharines Site COVID-19 assessment centre will close Aug. 15 and will reopen at the Greater Niagara General Site on Aug. 16. The operating hours will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week.
As of Aug. 11, Niagara Health has administered 252,060 doses. Overall, 72 per cent per cent of eligible residents in Niagara have been fully vaccinated.
Niagara Health is strongly encouraging anyone who still needs a first or second dose to do so as soon as possible.
