Construction disruptions coming on Niagara Stone Road

Disruptions to residents and businesses along Niagara Stone Road are coming once the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake begins watermain replacement construction on July 19.

The affected area is Niagara Stone Road 600 metres southwest of Line 4 Road to 70 metres southwest of Line 3 Road, the town said in a statement. A small portion of Line 4 Road west of Niagara Stone Road will also be affected.

The project is estimated to last for 12 weeks and will see the replacement of 1,800 metres of watermain and 1,800 metres of asphalt trench restoration.

dBa Services Inc. will be visiting homes in the affected area over the next two weeks to perform pre-construction surveys.

There are no planned road closures for the project, but the town says road disruptions will occur and a closure is possible near the end of construction.

Once the project is done the town plans to reconstruct the road, sidewalk and affected boulevard.
