Niagara Regional Police handed about 77 tickets during a week-long blitz targeting speeders from June 19 to 26.
The blitz was “a focused initiative throughout Niagara-on-the-Lake with a primary objective of speed enforcement,” said police in a news update.
Officers focused on community safety zones, areas of concern for the public (based on complaints) and speed data obtained from the Town of NOTL.
The 77 offences included speeding, driving with no licence and a G1 driver unaccompanied by qualified driver.
