Moonbase calling Niagara innovators

A Niagara Falls design studio is taking one small step towards what it hopes will be a giant leap for Niagara creators and entrepreneurs.

Moonbase, opened in October 2017, will host a series of not-for-profit networking galas called “Forum” with the hopes of connecting like-minded innovators throughout the region.

Forum project coordinators Vladan Stegnjaic and Nikola Crnobrnja said the events will take place at different locations around Niagara.

“We want each event to be a unique networking opportunity due to the combination of individuals and alternating locations,” Stegnjaic said.

He said Forum is not about promoting Moonbase; it’s about helping the entire community rise together by sharing ideas and forming partnerships.

The first event will be March 29 at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and Lounge on Fallsview Blvd, Niagara Falls.

“We’ve noticed there’s a lack of opportunities for start-up or established businesses to get together,” said Crnobrnja. “We wanted to create the platform for these individuals in the Niagara region to get together and learn how to collaborate with each other.”

“Many people feel they need to leave Niagara to succeed and we’re working towards changing that trend.”

The event will feature a four-course meal.

Tickets are $70 and can be purchased at, fallsviewevents.com/forum.
