UPDATED: Wanted woman arrested

UPDATE: Police arrested Savanna Defrias without incident on Friday.

Defrias is charged with theft of motor vehicle, theft under $5,000 and failure to provide the necessities of life.

She attended a bail Hearing on Saturday where she was remanded into custody.

Police are thanking members of the public for their assistance in the investigation.

ORIGINAL: Police have arrested a 55-year-old woman and put out a warrant for the arrest of a 31-year-old man following the execution of a search warrant in Niagara Falls.

A drug investigation led officers to search a residence in the area of Stamford St. and Stanley Ave. on Monday.

Officers from the NRPS Emergency Task Unit (ETU), K9 Unit and the Guns, Gangs and Grows Unit assisted detectives in executing the warrant.

Charged with two counts of possession oxycodone and hydromorphine for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of a schedule four substance is Tracey Edwin Rivard of Niagara Falls.

Police are also seeking an arrest warrant for Savanna Jolene Defrias of Niagara Falls for the alleged offences of theft of motor vehicle, theft under $5,000 and failure to provide the necessities of life.

Rivard attended a bail hearing at the Robert S. K. Welch Court House in St. Catharines on Tuesday.

Defrias' whereabouts remains unknown, though police say she has numerous ties to the city of Niagara Falls.
