Niagara residents are in the perfect spot to take advantage of cross-country flights for as little as $69 one-way.
Swoop airlines, a branch of WestJet, is offering the low-priced flights from five select Canadian airports — including the John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport — between Jun. 20 and Dec. 13.
Limited days do apply, but flights from Hamilton to Edmonton, AB; Abbotsford, BC; and Halifax, NS are amongst the tickets that can be found for $99.
Tickets to Winnipeg can be found for as little as $69.
The company had been advertising flights for as little as $37 and gave the first 2,000 flights for $0, though those flights sold out quickly.
Tickets must be booked by Feb. 7, are limited seats are available.
The deal is subject to “blackout dates” on: June 28 to July 3; Aug. 2 to Aug. 7; Aug. 30 to Sept. 4; Oct. 4 to Oct. 9; and Nov. 8 to Nov. 13.
The flights will operate on Boeing 737-800, 189-seat aircrafts.
A small personal carry-on is free.
“Swoop is travel without the flair,” said Bob Cummings, executive vice-president of sales, marketing and guest experience at WestJet.
Cummings is also the executive member responsible for the launch of Swoop.
Features available to purchase include a bag, movies and Wi-Fi, more legroom or less, on-board snacks and beverages.
