Human trafficking suspect arrested in Niagara Falls

A 20-year-old Brampton man has been arrested on multiple charges relating to human trafficking, illegal sexual servicesĀ and posession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

In August, the NRP's Morality UnitĀ finishedĀ an investigation into an allegation of human trafficking. As a result of the investigation,Ā an arrest warrant was issued for aĀ Brampton man.

On Tuesday (Sept. 19), members of the Morality Unit saw the suspectĀ in the passenger seat ofĀ a vehicle drivingĀ along Lundys Lane.Ā The vehicle stoppedĀ in a restaurant parking lot, at which point police approached the vehicle.Ā TheĀ suspectĀ fled on foot and was arrested by police after a short chase.Ā  TheĀ investigation that followed led to the arrest of two additional males and the seizure of a quantity of drugs.

Sicetus Akhinagba of Brampton is charged with the following offences:

Human Trafficking of Person Under 18 years
Financial Benefit of Person Under 18 years
Material Benefit from Sexual Services
Exercise Control of Person Under 18 years
Advertise a Person's Sexual ServicesĀ 
Utter Threats
Forcible Confinement
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking-Cocaine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking-Heroin
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking MDMA
Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000
Breach of Probation

19-year-old Ismael Ajiroba,Ā also from Brampton, is charged with the following offences:
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking-Cocaine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking-Heroin
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking MDMA
Breach of Recognizance

21-year-old Travis Niens ofĀ Brampton is charged with the following offences:
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking-Cocaine
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking-Heroin
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking MDMA
Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000

All three accused were held for a bail hearing that took place Wednesday (Sept. 20)Ā at the Ontario Court of Justice in St. Catharines.
