An extensive police investigation into drug trafficking in Niagara Falls led to the arrest of three men on Wednesday, and the seizure of an estimated $430,000 in illegal drugs.
Police began the investigation began in fall of 2019 and on March 4 executed 10 search warrants in the city, seizing more than 2,500 grams of cocaine, 498 grams of fentanyl in pill form, eight pounds of marijuana and approximately $18,000.00 in currency.
Police also located and seized 12 firearms and a stun gun.
Three Niagara Falls men are facing a long list of charges, including multiple firearms and substance-related charges.
Charged are Derek Horth, 28, Evgeny Zhelinskiy, 31, and Dragomir Mandic, 31.
The investigation was a joint effort by the Morality Unit, Guns, Gangs and Grow Unit, the Emergency Task Unit as well as Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and Welland street crime units.
