UPDATE: 20-yr-old charged in collision

UPDATE: On Wednesday, police charged 20-year-oldĀ Cameron Hobbs of Hamilton with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle in relation to a collision that occurred in November, in which an Audi became airborne after striking a culvert and landed in the parking lot of White Oaks Resort and Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake, striking several parked vehicles.

HobbsĀ is scheduled to appear inĀ court in March 2018, in St. Catharines.

Police did not provide updated information on the injuries sustained during the crash.

ORIGINAL (Nov. 19, 2017) – Police are asking businesses in the area of Taylor Rd. in Niagara-on-the-Lake to check their surveillance footage after an Audi SUV struck a culvert, became airborne and landed in the parking lot of White Oaks Resort and Spa.

The vehicle, driven by a lone 20-year-old Hamilton man, struck several parked vehicles when it landed, police say.

The driver was transported to an out-of-region trauma centre where he continues to be treated for life-threatening injuries.Ā
