SIDEBAR- Blowing bubbles for IPF

As September is idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis month, the Canadian IPF Foundation is asking people to blow bubbles for those can’t because of the disease.

IPF is a progressive lung disease that causes scarring of tissue, shortness of breath and debilitating fatigue.

NOTL residents can show their support by blowing bubbles at the gazebo at Queen’s Royal Park next Monday, Sept. 23 at 8:30 a.m.

“It’s a wonderful way to make people aware of the disease and show support for the people suffering with it,” said Terry Mactaggart.

“I am a good friend of Sandra (Hardy) and our walking group wants to support a friend who’s dealing with the disease now.”
