Remembrance Day ceremonies across the country today paid tribute to those who bought our freedom with their lives.
In Niagara-on-the-Lake, crowds gathered around the cenotaph to pay respects by singing songs and laying wreaths and poppies.
As is traditional, the ceremony started out with the singing of O Canada and two minutes of silence were given at 11:00 a.m., followed by the wreath laying ceremony, hymns and a tribute to the Queen.
The ceremony was presented by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 124 and was followed by a service at the cenotaph in Queenston.
