A search warrant led to the arrests of three St. Catharines residents on Wednesday.
The search warrant was executed at a multi-unit residence on Niagara Street, between Church Street and North Street, after police received information of a possible weapon on the premises.
Detectives found 10 people inside the residence and seized more than $2,200 in illicit drugs and $5,800 in cash.
Corey Goddard, 31, Sean Rosenthal, 28, and Kaitlyn Best, 30, of St. Catharines have been charged and are being held in custody pending a bail hearing. The remaining seven people found at the residence were released unconditionally.
Goddard is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, including possession of proceeds obtained by crime and failing to comply with a probation order.
Rosenthal and Best are charged with possession of cocaine and opioids for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds obtained by crime.
A person inside the residence at the time of the warrant execution needed medical treatment following interaction with police. The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has been contacted and have started their investigation.
