Couple robbed at Niagara Falls community centre

Niagara Regional Police were called to the McBain Community Centre in Niagara Falls to investigate a robbery on January 4, 2019.

According to a police news release, a couple entered the parking lot to the McBain Centre around 6:30 a.m. where they were approached by two men in the south corner of the parking lot.

One male brandished a handgun while they took the couples possessions, including a small amount of money.

The suspects fled in a dark coloured sedan and was last seen travelling down Montrose road towards McLeod.

No one was hurt during the exchange, the release says.

Both suspects are described as white males, six feet tall, between the ages of 17 and 20 and have medium builds.

The suspects are believed to have been parked in the lot before the victims arrived. Security footage shows a number of people attending the property within the timeframe of the robbery.
