Niagara-on-the-Lake has shaken up the committees and boards from 2018 until 2022.
The newly formed committee have completely axed many of the old committees, either creating entirely new ones, or replacing them. The new committees and boards include the Customer Experience and Technology Committee, Golf Committee, Grinder Pump Committee, Transportation Advisory Committee, Community Wellness Committee, Communities in Bloom Committee, and the Inclusivity Committee.
The Active Transportation Committee’s mandate was dispersed among the Heritage Trail Committee, Safety and Wellness committees. The Age-Friendly Steering Committee was replaced with the Community Wellness Committee, changing the mandate to address wellness for all age groups, not just for seniors.
The Grinder Pump Committee was created to offer residents who have grinder pumps assistance from the town.
