Toronto men arrested with heroin and cocaine in Niagara Falls

On Aug. 29, 2017, members from the #2 District Street Crime Unit conducted an investigation on two males who were observed by police conducting drug transactions in Niagara Falls parking lots. 

As a result of the investigation, the males were arrested inside a local store with the assistance of Uniform Patrol.

A large quantity of heroin, cocaine and money was recovered. 

In total, 33 grams of heroin with a street value of $9,900, along with 9.6 grams of cocaine with a street value of $960 and some cash was seized.

Charged are 21-year-old Tran Sidney Nguyen of Toronto and 27-year-old Maurice James of Toronto.

Nguyen faces possession for the purpose of trafficking both heroin and cocaine, possession of proceeds of crime and driving while disqualified. 

James faces possession for the purpose of trafficking, both heroin and cocaine, and possession of proceeds of crime under $5000.

James was also wanted in Toronto for possession, fail to comply and obstructing a peace officer.

The two men were both held pending a bail hearing on Aug. 30 in St Catharines.
